the heat, the heat from the food, and the poverty you might see depending if you go right into the big citys' poorer parts, you have to remember not to give them money, if you feel really horrible you can buy them food but dont let people see you give them food or they will think they can get some off you, also some horrible people send street children out to beg for money and when people give the children money they have to give the money to the gangs :(

dress appropriately so as not to attract to much attention. Don't carry too much money. Loads of poor people around so when you give money to one you migh be surrounded by a crowd of others....

but it depends where u r going if u r going to a city like mumbai delhi bangalore then u need not worry much abt culture...

in some places the food is really spicy but it is really yummy

first of all u shall wear dresses such as chudidars or salwar kameez.don't prefer mostly to wear western dresses. u can wear jeans. don't open Ur purse always. don't give money for beggars when they are in many .don't eat beef .u can eat non veg like sheep ,hen &goat meat.indias food is so tasty i hope u would like it .Have a happy visit

In december and January, it is quite cold in India. But if u go to south india, weather is hot almost throughout the year. I don't think heat is too much of a issue for u. But u have to cope with not so sound infrastructure.

take a good supply of toilet rolls you will need them the toilet is a hole in the ground and take a fly swat you will need it and learn to squat on a toilet good luck

It totally depends in which city your are going to stay as India has different culture in every state .... but if you are going to stay in Delhi then you will enjoy the city and surely I can be helpful to you as I resides there and if you stay in Mumbai its little expensive city there will be little problem with the accommodation rest is fine. so If you advice in which states you are going to stay I can help you pls mail me.

i dont know if you are right now but, over there they are very religious and they are vegitarians. they dont eat any meat and they worship cows.
