Comparing India and Australia?

I have recently visited many of the australian cities like sydney, melbourne, brisbane, perth and adelaide.

The one thing I noticed is that Australian cities are beautiful and awesome. The atmosphere was good and I felt myself very relaxed and comfortable. The Indian cities like Mumbai, Chennai, bangalore are not that much attractive and breathtakingly beautiful as Australian cities.

Why is this difference although the GDPs of cities in the both the countries are more or less same.
