Taxi will be the best choice. Go to Mysore straight and then take a cab to visit Ooty. Travelling Mysore to Ooty is itself an enjoyable ride. First Mysore, secondly Mysore - Ooty and on the last day reach Bangalore and take a flight back to your place.

If you plan Kodaikkaanal, then its better you plan a trip exclusively for Kodai, Madurai, Rameshwaram and visiting these places during September will be idle.

now it's summer vacation so lot of rush in ooty..
kodikanal is too far from ooty more than 300 km
so enjoy it in ooty itself because travel to kodikanal take 10 hours ..
spend friday to sunday in bangalore,musore remaining days spend in ooty ( croud is less, because of weekdays)

Hire a car to cover all the places. It will cost around Rs.2000 per day.

Go to mysore by train from b'lore and be back that night or next day night.Then u hire a tata sumo to go to Ooty and Kodaikanal and be back to banglore.

BANGALORE-MYSORE-OOTY are well connected by road and are in the same route!
u can as well take a bus to these places,ideally KSRTC,many pvt buses ply this route,it should not be a problem
if u r not worried about cost ,u can go for taxi,a little expensive
kodaikanal is a different route ,i am afraid u may not have enough time to cover!
plan it next time ,enjoy B-M-O trip!

Hey,
Bangalore to Ooty, you can consult KSTDC. As the buses are the best means of transportation from Bangalore-Ooty.

And around Bangalore, there are quite nice places. You can either go by Taxi or by KSRTC buses. For these places, Taxi really makes sense.

Chunchi Falls
Coorg (Kodagu)

the best thing u can do is.. go to kstdc office in Corporation circle,Bangalore... they offer u very good 3day/4nights packages for a trip to ooty and the nearby places from bangalore... at a very reasonable price.. enjoy!!!
