INDIA: A GREAT COUNTRY
Thats a question which ..has a huge answer!
I am really proud of my country. India is one of the fastest devoloping nation in the world...(faster than U.S..for ur information)...with an annual growth of abt 8% wheras U.S stands at only 4%. Considering the history of this great country... its an remarkable thing.
India is bound to become a knowledge pool. for eg with more than half of the worlds software 'Made in India'.
--( according to Bill Gates).
Talent pool- more than 50% of its population of 1 billion (or more)are guys younger than 25 yrs old!!(its a fact)- Huge human resource!
Usually, any devoloping nation doesn't get into the technical field directly(they usually try out other industries like china)... But India has got that credit too.
India has got the 3rd largest Army in the world !!!.With cutting edge technology and Nuclear arsenal in its Kitty. (Mind you, its nuclear technology is completely indeginous).
It has got a Booming Market with growth ..uncompared. eg: markets are at 12,500 points and just 4 yrs ago it was only near 2000 points!!!--Such is the growth!
The rich cultural heritage and history- is simply cool!( first 'civilization' (indus valley civization) had sprouted in India!)
India has fought ..provoked wars by Pakistan. Guess wat?...India kicked their asses really hard untill they ran helter-skelter..he he he. India has enemies virtually on all its sides...still, India has survived. Not only survived but won their hearts !!!
--Jai Hind by All Indians Together
I feel proud to say that I am an INDIAN. I think we indian all feel the same. |

Yes, It is a good country, because it is trying to cope up with all the things that it is having right now at its hands. The economy is resurgent and best of all, it has its own centuries old culture that varies from every single state. |

I think it has a strong workforce, it was the home of Ghandi, when I call to get customer service for some things it goes to India but I don't mind as long as they solve the problem and speak fairly good English, its the country where Mooj is from (the comedian on the 40 year old virigin)...unfortunately there is the belief there that every animal is sacred even rats which I believe is unfortunate because what it does to the land there...hope this helps |

Without the Indian civilization there might not be any computers, calculators, or any of the other electronics which we enjoy today. This is because Indians were the first to develop mathematics (yes, well before the Greeks, Egyptians & Romans). Indians also develpoed trigonometry (the functions sine, cosine, tangent, etc... derive originally from their Sanskrit names). India is also being credited as the birthplace of the popular mind game, chess. Many historians believe that Latin derived from Ancient Sanskrit. India is also home to the world's oldest religion, Hinduism, which is still in practice. Ancient Hindu texts have been dated to being at least 3 to 4 thousand years old. At present, India may appear to be a third world country. And yes, India may not have the best economy, the best etiquette, the best govt, or the best technology. All of these lacking aspects can be compensated with India's rich history and culture, which no other place on Earth can compare with. |

What an idiotic question!!!! Everyone likes their own country and food best. Ive lived in India for a number of years though Im not Indian. India has its set backs as well as its good points. the people are friendly and helpful. The government does not look after the poor very well. there is a lot of corruption that needs to be cleared out once and for all. Dogs that bite people on the road should be eradicated....What is more important a dogs life or a human life? The people need to broaden their outlook more as many are still very narrowminded...it is only the younger generation that has changed a lot...they are going to be the making of the nation and India WILL stand proud very soon. Just one thing....can the girls PLEASE stop wearing contact lenses to make themselves look European. It doesnt suit their skin
colour and they are far more attractive with their own eyes without resorting to this stupid fashion. |

It is a horrible country to visit, escpially if you are a woman. Men will grab your chest and butt freely, taxi drivers rob and rape women often. If you drive be prepared to be the most alert you ever been in your life, they ignore signs and street lights and what should be one lane of traffic turns into 3! When you go to buy something, expect to pay non indian prices, they screw you big time.
Police often stop non indians to check there passport and will then demand a bribe to not revoke your visa. If you ask police for assistance, expect him to tell you to go screw unless you give him a bribe.
If you study there expect nightmares. atleast 2 visits a month to the police station to bribe afew cops to not revoke your visa . Then you have to bribe the vice chancelor to not kick you out of school. Also a majority of the professors are corrupt and will give you a passing grade for the right price. If you use the post office, dont expect the mail to ever leave india and if someone sends you mail from another country, dont expect to ever see it, postal workers steal, you wont believe how much of my mail was "lost".
If you like to read non fiction, good luck finding any in India. Book stores mainly carry western fiction and romance novels, the science sections are usualy half a shelf. Even the computer section is insanely small, considering so much computer related work is going to India.
Worst country ever |
