The answer to this question certainly depends on how a man see's it. I think that delhi certainly is a better city unless u plan to travel in the blue line busses. Ha ha ha. Mmbai is also a gud city from the future point of view. |

Only Delhi may be the best city if we compare to Mumbai.
Some people have recently defamed the ever green Mumbai by some talkings against the rest of India. So, I will prefer only Delhi |

Delhi is much like Mumbai but there are some differences. I have been to Delhi once. Women get touched anywhere(specially someone knows that you're not from Delhi). That is the only thing I hated about the City.
There are some pretty good places around though. Like Agra's Taj mahal. Lotus Temple, Kutubminar.
It is also said that people in Mumbai and Banglore are fond of Party at night but in Delhi, people like to eat eat eat. Food is good there and most of the time safe to eat(as long as you don't choose some Broken out Hotel).
Make sure you hire a private guide from a good Travel Agency, so even by mistake you don't end up in area where you never wanna be in. |

Delhi
New Delhi, the capital and the third largest city of India is a fusion of the ancient and the modern. Standing along the West End of Gangetic Plain, the capital city, Delhi, unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture and human diversity, deep in history, monuments, museums, galleries, gardens and exotic shows. Comprising of two contrasting yet harmonious parts, the Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India.
Narrating the city's Mughal past, Old Delhi, takes you through the labyrinthine streets passing through formidable mosques, monuments and forts. You will also discover lively and colorful bazaars that boast to cater all sorts of good and items at mind-blowing prices amidst a barely controlled chaotic ambience.
The imperial city of New Delhi displays the finely curved architecture of British Raj.
It generates a mesmerizing charm reflecting well-composed and spacious streets under the shade of beautifully lined avenues of trees and tall and imposing government buildings. |

I have been to both the cities to visit or based on work in the
past. It is very interesting to know how different Delhi is compared to Mumbai.
For a long time Mumbai has been the multi-cultural ,
multi-ethnicity place and people from all places mingle very
well and speak any form of hindi or any other languages.
But Delhi is quite different even among the most educated as
well. For some reason all Delhites tend to answer us back in
hindi even though the question was asked in English.
The other interesting thing about people is, anything that is
south of Delhi is referred as Madarasi. This is mostly by joking
but many are really serious about it.
For a newcomer, Mumbai can be an easy place to live in
compared to Delhi. Since I speak hindi, kannada, urdu,
some tamil and telugu, I never had problems in either city.
But my other friends who visited had hard time in Delhi.
Mostly favored Mumbai and I also like Mumbai. |
