Goa is often promoted as some remote paradise island, but it's not, it's part of India.
As such, the behind-the-scenes activities are typically Indian.
There is Malaria, and many food and waterborne diseases.
You should visit your Travel clinic, who will advise what else you need ( Hepatitis A; Typhoid; Hepatitis B; Polio; Diptheria/Tetanus).
Frankly, when you go behind the glossy pictures, and see what happens in the kitchens, you'll be disgusted, moreso for the room service food, often prepared in some dirty hovel when the kitchens are closed.
Remember it is not Europe/USA, from the top to the bottom (Hotel owners to cleaning staff), they are trying to make money out of as little as possible, and without effective regulation, anything goes. |
