Additional Details i like a south indian girl and i am north indian, we are both hindu, but i heard south indians hate us so they dont accept north indians or something. so i dont know if i should ask her out. i personally dont care south or north cause in the end we are all indian. but i dont know if she would agree.
Previously the marriages in India of any place was done in the same caste and religion. Now a days inter caste and inter Religion marriages are being performed in India also. But this outlook is slowly adopted and mostly the girls of South India have their marriage within their caste and as chosen and settled by their parents. Earlier the people were confined to one particular place or area only but now for earning people both boys and girls go to other states and cities, where they are involved in love and 50% of such cases succeed and end into marriage. After about 15 - 20 years I feel there will be free marriages between the boys and girls of all states or areas of India. -

May be, but I have hardly seen any such couples. Generally South Indian girls stand with the decision of their parents. So they get married among their own people. If the guy is good enough to impress the girl's dad, he can marry her.

Generally in India marriages are 'arranged'. It means the parents decide the marriage based on horoscope matching,social and economical acceptance.The boy or girl have no say in deciding the partner.Astonishingly, 90% of such marriages are really successful.
