yes you do and you will need to apply at least 6 weeks before travel but bare in mind the 6 months visa starts from when they recieve it. If you need it quicker then there are many fast track services availiable on the internet. i go with transworld visas. I have just returned from goa and i go again in three weeks. i hope you like it as much as i do

Turn around time v quick by registered post (less than one week in my experience). Cost is approx £30. Pain is that you have to send a postal order (rather than a cheque)!
