India is going to be a force to reckon with in the world in the days to come. Much of our social ills and cultural malaise can be attributed to our fall economic standards. Hopefully, with the economic boom and the prosperity to the country and the equatable distribution of wealth, we may hope that the evils the symptoms of which you had mentioned, will be on the decline. Life is complex. All contrary things are bound to co-exist. We may have strive for the good to prevail and try to eliminate the evil in whichever form it occurs in our neighbourhood. |

There is thin line of differnce between being spiritual n being orthodox
Spiritual indians don't yell don't shout n don't make a show of themselves unlike their orthodox counterparts
that's why out of 102 cr ppl u only see a handful of ppl
As for cancelling ur programs, u should have been a bit more careful
take a lot help frm indian NGO n always go to ppl like the collecter n try to spread the news , so that everyone is knows u r there n it would be a bit difficult for the disrict magistrate to stop u
india isn't like other country, u can never do any work directly over here, u'll always have to twist ur way around |

India is economially a much stronger country in the world. It is much superior than many developed countries in the field of science and technology to day. Indian technocrats are much in demand in the world. Regarding spiritualism , it was India who has shown the world the "way". Every religion in the world has a definite starting date in the history. But no body can say when Indian sanatan dharma started. it is existing from an indefinite period. it is the oldest of all. Traces of Indian religions and its followers may be found allover the world. so it is strange u wish to preach the Indians lessons on spiritualism. U had been to Haridwar. did not u meet the saints there. they could have taught u a lesson or two about spiritualism. |

I think you should take your NGOs propaganda to another forum.
And stop disguising it as a Question on Yahoo Answers. |

Here are my comments on ur questions! Read on...
how can indians speak about spiritually when having the atomic nuclear weapon to destroy a country including your God the holly cow? -------- Self defense and spirituality are entirely unrelated things! Consider what kind of neigbors India has and you'll know why they need to be prepared!
How can improve spiritual life when persecuting Richard Gere just for a kiss to an indian actriss? ------ I just don't understand how Richard Gere kissing an actress and spiritual life in India are related ! :D :D
How can improve India when still cast is there? --- This is the point i have to consider... But the problem in India is not the cast system, its over-population.. poor governments and lack of good law enforcement
How can improve India when apropiate Haridwar .....How improve when authorities do not give solution our problem? ------------- I'm not aware of the situation you mention so cannot comment!
Manners --- Okay , Do you mean manners are frequently saying ur sorrys and thank yous and pleases? waiting patiently in lines? giving up your seat in a bus for a old lady? well... if you live in India you'll know that every day is fight for survival for most of them due to poverty, over population, bad or rather no infrastrcture like decent roads public transport .. if you are not aware a lot of villages in India do not even have electricity.. and in some electricity is cut down most of the day as there is no facility to generate required power. So.. in short, survival has a priority over mannerism for obvious reasons!
but you'll still see that in case of events like bomb blasts people will give shelter to tens of people for days even if they can't afford it. No guest will go away from a decent indian house without water and some food..
I don't know which country you reside in .. and bad manners you talk about .. but i'm sure there is a cultural difference that anyone has to consider!
Enough of my trying to explain things i guess!!
And i do hope that the economic boom that has started in India improved the conditions there for better! |

Unfortunately you are right. Many Indians are becoming more and more intolerant by the day, incited and instigated by its unscrupulous politicians of varying shades and hues, each arising from a filthier gutter than the one preceding him.
Even regarding manners, you are regrettably right. Nowadays the schools do not appear to be teaching young children manners, perhaps this is why manners are singularly lacking in todays youth, other than what their parents may have instilled in them. When we were young, I distinctly remember our teachers drilling manners into us. A basic sense of ethics is lacking. There does not appear to be any discernible solution other than for individuals to set a good example to others around them and hope and pray that the message spreads. |
