Come on dear. There is no problem in going to college at 23. There's no problem going to college even at 63.

I am planning to go back to college to study after retirement. There will be people like "postal" who loves to taunt. Do not care - just ignore them. When we walk on the road many creatures makes noise - do we care !!

I work at a University, and I can tell you firsthand, we have students coming here in their 30's, 40's, even 60's and 70's...it's never too late to improve yourself.

It's not funny. I am 23 and a single mom and I plan on going back to school in January. I nervous as all heck that i'll be surounded by 18 year olds that have the "f-u" to school atitude and who just want to party. But im still going back!!!!

Charlie
There are many surveys that show between 1/3 and 1/2 of all college students are over age 25. You will fit right in. Your added maturity will be a great advantage. Go! Have a great time, study hard...make a success of yourself. There are many of us who went back in our 30's. Don't let ANYTHING stop you.

kawm63
I have coworkers in their 40s and 50s who have gone back part time to finish degrees. There is no age limit and you should go for it. You will be glad you did.

violet_selky
Believe it or not there are a lot of us, non-traditional students now. It's Ok! Really.

hello? i'm 23 and i'm not ashamed! (dont have my associates yet)
c, u gt understand here in america, every1 gets chances 4 stuff.

I am 21 and just finished my first semester of college. Trust me it is never to late to go back and get an education. I have seen people at college before who are a lot older than you. Actually I have a few in my class. Some of my class members have children as old as I am. I believe you can do it if you really want! At least give it a chance that way you will not regret not giving it a chance later in life.

lauren s
it would be more embarrassing to miss the opportunity!!!! you would be giving advice to your grandkids, "i had the chance to go to college & blew it because (fill in your excuse)".

start now, it'll be done before you know it...& you'll make more$$$

no need of embarrassment

Spirea
You should not be embarrassed. If you won’t go now u will regret all you life. And forget about people they always need something to talk about so they can carry out their boring life. Think about you future and your family. What can you do with that you education?

asdfag.,,df
23 is not too far from ages of 18-21...you;ll fit in perfectly...nobody will know you are 23

MCM Lexi
There are a lot of slightly older college students, especially with a lot of people returning from military service if they got in the military right after high school. You're only 23, so I doubt anyone is going to think you look particularly old. I really don't think it'll be a big deal at all. Have confidence!

Clown_Uno
I am going to do my masters starting this month and I am 26. You want to improve your pay or increase your knowledge base, why should you care what others think? Do these people feed you or your family?

pups
hey wats there in that there is no specific age like u should study or not ! all the best !

* hey 23 is not at all a bad age. I had my batchmates of about 27 - 29 years old and to the worst case in management studies, you can find people above 40.
