India is very big. Problems in Bombay won't affect (directly) your stay up north. You might want to check if there are any problems going on over where you are going. There is always the off-chance that there is something going on. But if there isn't, I think you will be totally fine. Bombay has been having some problems in terms of terrorism for a while, but it hasn't spread. And especially if you go to a more remote area as opposed to a major city, you will be fine. I think you should go. India is an amazing place, for all it's problems; you will really be missing out if you ignore the whole country for the danger in one area. |
