come to Ludhiana main bus stand and catch plenty of Roadways buses are plying .Himachal roadways ,Chandigarh roadways ,Punjab roadways .morning 5 am to night 9 pm .It is arround 350 km .Buses ply via ropar ,mandi,

Hi der,
First of all let me tell you that Kullu and Manali are two different places.
Distance between Ludhiana and Manali is 2015kms which is quite difficult to cover by bus.
Distance between Kullu and Manali is 40kms, Kullu comes first and then comes Manali.
How to travel:
Air: Kullu and Manali can be reach from a common base, Bhuntar airport, 9 km for Kullu and 49 km form Manali. Small private airlines also operate scheduled flights to & from here.
Time: 2hours, 30 minutes
Train: The most convenient rail station for the Kullu valley is Chandigarh (250 kms away).
Bus (if at all you wish to)- than I would suggest you to go to Chandigarh first which is approx. 100kms from Ludhiana and 119kms from Shimla. Kullu is approachable by Chandigarh (250 kms), Simla (260 kms) and road from Delhi (500 kms).
Duration of journey: 20-22 hours minimum
I guess this route saves your time :-)
Sights at Kullu & Manali:
At Manali:
Kothi : It is located just at a distance of 12 km. from Manali. It is a quiet but scenic spot. This is nice place to relax.
Solang Valley : It is situated at distance of 13 km. from Manali. A spectacular valley between Manali and Kothi which offers a views of the glaciers and snow-capped mountain peaks. The plateau is often busy with trekking parties holding camps.
Rahla Falls : It located about 2 km from Kothi. Here the river Beas falls down from a height of about 50 metres. The is an ideal charming spot for picnickers.
At Kullu:
Vaishno Devi : At a distance of 4 km from Kullu. A small cave enshrine an image of goddess Vaishno.Other temples are dedicated to Lord Shiva, Rama and Krishna.
Raghunathji Temple : Situated at a distance of 1 km. this temple was built in the 17th century by Raja Jagat Singh, who installed here an idol of Lord Raghunathji, which he brought from Ayodhya. As a mark of his penance he placed the idol on his throne and it became the presiding deity of the valley.
Jagannathi Temple : It is just 3 km. from Kullu. A stony climb leads one to the shrine from where one gets a clear view of the Kullu town.
The Great Himalayan National Park : Located in the alluring district of Kullu, spread over an area of 620 sq. km. has temperate forests with some of the unspoiled coniferous forests of the state. Vast space of alpine pasture and glaciers dominates this park. The fauna found in this part of the western Himalayas are musk deer, ghoral, thar, bharal, sewor, brown bear, leopard and snow leopard. Bird life comprises of Rekte-Sar. A stay at these beautiful surroundings is a memorable experience.

There are no Direct buses to manali from ludhiana. you have to come to Delhi or chandigrh and from there you can get plenty of buses to manali preferably from Delhi as various tour operators operates packages for manali |
