Remember to read the books of Romain Rolland, Paul Brunton, Max Muller and many others who have written about
India

on Vedanda Philosophy.
You can read the biographies of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda.and
Lectures of Swami Vivekananda on Vedantha Philosophy
and Bhagavad Gita and all that in English, French as well.

Read about Bhagavan Ramana Maharishi .

First : you are welcome to know more about India and Indians. But please remember India is a very vast country, diverse traditions, many religions , many sects, varied cuisine, different terrain and conditions wherever you go. Its truly a very very complex situation here.

Please do not get dishearten by this. Am just putting across the ground realities. Even a born Indian ( that is me ) finds it very complex to understand the things sometimes. And I travel a lot all over the country. I like travelling much. I interact with many people wherever I go. Still sometimes I get a daunting feeling.

But as I said at the start...... Welcome! You will find India a happy place for sure. Do ask more and if I know, I will definitely provide inputs and info to you.
