No such big problems in Srinagar and there were never any problems in Rishikesh.
But April will be a month onsetting summer season. It may be bit warm then.
I do not know your travel plans. But Srinagar and Rishikesh are two different worlds, in all senses. Of course I hope, you are discussing about Srinagar in kashmir and not in "Uttaranchal" state which is then nearer to Rishikesh.

I am from the UK and was in Srinigar in February and found it perfectly safe, however there is a large military presence.

first ..there are two srinagar ..one in J and K another in Uttarnachal(utaarakhand) few hundred Km from Rishikesh..
cuase you are talking about problem i will assume its J and K ..
Terrorist problem is mostly in Kashmir Valley ..Srinagar is pretty much safe..and Army is always there |
