Since - no local Hyderabadi tried to give you a detailed answer, I am trying to give you some information with the limited knowledge of the city I have.

IIt is not difficult at all as you are talking about landmark destinations. From Secunderabad Railway station, you can go to Malakpet by local city bus or auto (three wheeler). Just in front of the station is the bus stand as well as the auto stand. I do not know the direct bus numbers, but it will be very easy to find out even after you arrive there too.

For Begumpet air port you will have to come the same way back and go further about 6-7 km in the opposite direction. You can use the same mode of transport. Though, you may not get the city bus to go right to the gate of the airport.

Get a tourist map, you can get it almost everywhere and you can roughly estimate how to visit the places you want.

Hi.. Hyderabad is a very vistor friendly place and you will not have any problem at all. People will go out of the way to guide you..
language too is not a problem at all.Most of the people speak english.

As soon as soon as u land, just look out for a policeman(traffic) and they will help u to get a auto to get to both the places.It is better to check with the cop how much is to be paid. In case the auto(three wheeler taxi) troubles you, threaten to report him and take down his name and vehicle number,He will soon settle for whatever u are ready to pay.

It is not advisable to travel by buses as they are over crowded and chance of losing valid documents is high.Dont go around alone late in the evenings into lonely lanes specially in the old city as it may be unsafe.

Still in case u need any help..go tot Tourism office ,besides the New fly over ,near the Lumbini park. and they will assist u.

Eat only in clean hotels..like kamat which are spread through out.
Take basic health precautions.

Welcome to Hyderabad, go to the Government of India's or State's tourist bureau, get a tourist map, that will guide you the best. You can get necessary information even at the Railway station also, if you are going by train.

hydrabad is a very pretty place. i went to hydrabad last year in december. it was fun. go to the bazar. they have cool stores. and visit the charminar.

If u need decent accomodation in Secundrabad, as soon as u get off Sec'bad train station, get an auto (yello three wheelers) and get him to take u to Basera hotel. After u freshen up or whatever go to ....the pub downstaris. and talk to the one of the receptionists. U can either hire a taxi or call for the auto's and they'll take u there.

Hyderabad is safe place, no need to worry !
