Holiday trip in August 1st week?
Can anyone help me in finding a best location to visit in August first for 5 days in North india....How abt the situation of Manali in August first week.Will I be able to see all the places near Manali.

check out www.himalayanvillage.com for visit to uttarakhand. august is rains in this part of the country so come along only if you love and enjoy the rains.

The only hitch in visiting Hills in August is the risk of a complete holiday washout due to rains..but the hills look lovely at that time..all green and bright...and a lot less crowded. I suggest you dont go as far as Manali where you can get stuck in case of heavy rains. Shimla, Nainital, Mussoorie, Ranikhet etc should be more safe
