Bengaluru is quite good and comfortable to live peacefully in all respects.
Due to presence of lot of MNC's, and influx of people all over the globe, the native Bengalurians are finding it very hard due to rise in living cost, real estate prices, vehicular traffic, pollution, rising crime rate, education getting costlier, etc.
We have lost our peaceful old world charm.

With all the worsening of civic life, Bengaluru is the most preferred place for a North Indian. People are mild. There is nothing like the North Indian bonhomie and Bengaluris keep to themselves. If they appear callous it is because of non-involvement and a desire not to appear nosy. It is the only metropolis where you'll find the top elite basically live by Science and engineering. That pushes the humanities far to the back with a distorted development of the human. Normally courtesies like wishing someone (even a 'Good morning') that is common in North can be expected here only amongst the well-groomed Bangaluris. It is just that they are not used to it. The city was dominated by (population wise even) tamils with their cultural traits and followed by Telugus. Kannadigas with whom the city swelled to recent proportions are basically from other interior places and west coast (Udupi, Mangaluru). Now they want to stamp it with a Kannadiga mark, that is not to be. Like all other metropolises of India, this city too owes its splendour and development to people speaking other languages. So linguistic chauvinism ruptures the peace, with disastrous consequences to economy. On the other hand people from north should not have the farfetched expectation from the locals to speak Hindi. But now there is a sizable chunk of highly qualified North Indians (Punjab to Bengal).
The mild soothing climate, a favourite of the British (Winston Churchill lived here as a subaltern officer) and the city was non-fan (no need for fans) station, but that is no more. Roads are not well laid out so as to be conducive to traffic. Cantonment used to be so pristine, is now taken over by the city's chaos. Malleswaram (till IISc) is laid out in grid pattern like a graph sheet, but no traffic roundabouts as the roads are not wide. This is very bad for fast moving traffic impeding smooth flow.
Tree cover is down to half than what it was in 1980s. being at a height and no perennial water source at that height, only the tree cover mitigates the heat of harsh sun.
There is much that can be done to improve. Politicians here are the most irresponsible and short-sighted in the country. Still I vote for Bengaluru.

Awesome city with awful attitude of the locals blaming others for what they themselves cannot help...
culture is okay..nothing great...people are unkind and don't know the basic Indian belief "atithi devo bhava" at all...they are mostly unhelpful

weather is def. nice

its pretty green but they are just chopping trees in name of development which is sad...
their traffic management is horrible...
traffic sense of people is pathetic...
had this place had more affable people- it would had been a better place to be in...

Bangalore is like a modernised North Indian City. But is very cool and comfortable. North Indians feel at home here.
