As your budget and resources permit:

Circulate among tour operators, tourist transporters, guides, hotels and other tourist and holiday information centres - airports, railway stations and bus stands; about your hiking holidays. Put on websites, links, travel sections of print media and e-mails (spams!!!!).

Contact leading companies, particularly marketing and those companies offering incentive holidays to their staff, dealer, distributors etc. for hiking holidays with concessions, incentives and other benefits of bulk business.

Do remember to donate for good cause/charity if you benefit from the suggestions being given to you at Y!A.

Create ur own website. There are a lot of sites on the net which will help u create ur own website. Better still get ur own web space and a domain name.

In the first place it cannot be hiking holidays. It should be trekking or mountain climbing.

A lot of people in Japan, Norway, Germany and America undertake trekking. They will be interest in new trekking routes.

Check for the adventure tour operators on the net and contact them. Since you have a computer and internet access, this should not be a problem.

You can write to the Indian Embassies in various countries and ask them to provide you with a list of tour operators in their respective area.

The best way of publicising hiking holidays is to place your advertisements and leaflets in travel agencies (that do not organise trips to the himalayas) as well as in flight ticket offices.

Try to take some time to talk to different agencies and convince them of the superiority of your holidays. By giving them a commission, say 5% of the price, they would normally be willing to help promote your trips to people who are buying flight tickets to somewhere in the Himalayas.

Alternatively, I guess the newspapers would be a good place too, but this can be rather expensive. Instead, print out a few thousand leaflets (they're cheap to print in India) and include your telephone number AND email address. You can also print some large glossy posters and hand them out to travel agencies. Place these leaflets at the Tourist Information offices (esp. in the airports), travel agencies, bookstores' travel section...).

If you're comfortable with using computers and creating a website, this is even better as potential travellers get to see the places that they are visiting and know what your holidays are like.

Stand on top of mount everest with a megaphone. Or, after serious consideration, create a web site or even a blog site and make the postings of your blog multi-titled. A web site entitled Hiking in The Himalayas would appeal to just those people conducting a search. Add unsusual hiking holidays and 'climbing' to capture a few people who's minds aren't made up.
