it depends on where to and where from. if, say, its going from mumbai to new york city, itll take about 5 days. if its going from a smaller city, itll take about 10 days. if its going from a rural area, about 2 weeks. if its going to a small town in the us, 10 days. |

It usually takes 10 days for mail to reach me from Kentucky. I am in New Delhi. However, one letter has yet to reach me and it's been over 2 weeks.
Mail service isn't always dependable as it is in the US...you may want to us UPS if the information is important. The cost is higher, but the service is more reliable. |

If it is from a big city in India, it usually takes about 10 days, but from smaller cities it takes about 18-20 days. |

when I was in Bangladesh 10 years ago, it would take about 2 1/2 weeks most of the time. I'm sure it would be about the same for India and for now days as well. |

It depends. I've found that letters going to places in the northern parts of India, like Bodhgaya and Varanasi will take an average of two weeks, while letters going to southern cities like Halabid and Thanjavur can take twice as long. I've never been able to determine why this is, but it seems to be pretty consistent.
Good luck! |
