Well... Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, DElhi and surrounding area etc are considered to be Metros in India. And due to higher job opportunities and better infrastructure they attract a lot of people. But still i think may be only 20% of the total population of India lives in Metros. This is of course an approx number :) But india is a big country and its hard to give you exact figure :)
