How much time can I stay in India with 2800 euros? |
I want to go to India and I have this amount of money. I am planning to stay in Mumbai for two months and then another month in other place or travelling. Is it enough to cover all the expenditures? Additional Details I don't plan to stay in 4-5 stars hotels, I'll try to rent a room or a small place for the two months period (and I don't have and I don't need the average european/american tourist lifestyle). |

Its not enough. You would require at least 6000 euros to complete your plan with normal comfort.
With carefull planning and strict budgeting you may be able to manage within 4000 euro. |

in india you can find top luxurious, upper class, upper middle, middle, middle lower, low class hotels. also, the service and amnetities varies as you pay. i prefer to stay at the taj when i am in mumbai. if you don't want to spend that much money, try to stay at a middle class hotel. but it will probably suck. |

India is a phenominal country. You can live for one day with 2800 Euros or you can live for one year. India will offer anytype of life style you want
If you know somebody in bombay, then it will be easy. Othewise, and if you pretent that you do not know the place and people, you will surely be taken for a ride. Before starting form your country, try to contact institutions like YMCA where they offer competitive accomdation. Or go to the information and find out the most competitive hotel for you. Then contact the tour operators and take such tours. Eat god food from the good restaturants and do not fall for people who volunteer to help you. Any tour that you take, please see that it is offered by teh acreditted agents. Be confident and you can enjoy the stay in India. You can easily stay there for 3 months with this money. Enjoy. Congratulations for chosing India as your holiday destination |

2800 euros is well over 155,000 Indian Rupees. It's a tidy sum but it all depends on what amount of travelling and what grade of luxury you intend to indulge in.
Most 5 star properties in major Indian cities charge upwards of Rs.10,000 per night for bed and breakfast. But you can even stay in places that will cost you as less as 300 rupees day. Food and drink costs will also vary similarly. Mumbai is one of the most expensive places to live in but food costs in Mumbai will be similar to most other places in India.
India is a fairly big country and you would obviously like to travel a lot in 60 days. For domestic flight, even discounted airfares are on an average costlier compared to Europe.
3500-4000 euros is a safer bet. You can always use any money you save ( if you manage that is) for other things. |

2800 euros means Rs. 1,58,500(approx(taking 1 euro= 56.6 rs)).
average expenditure for a foreigner is 35000-50000 per month(for not so lavish lifestyle).
therefore it will be more than enough for you.
so go ahead and visit this marvelous country.
Enjoy ur stay here(i'm sure u'll.). |
