from pune start from express highway u will leave the express highway and enter in bbay at panvel. then from there go till sanpada then proceed on that highway only u will get the directions on road also on the green flipboards. you will pass from vashi.u reach new bombay ie vashi in 2hrs -2 1/2 hrs then from there it will take nearly 21/2 hrs in day time in night it may take less 11/2hrs to approx 2hrs.

There are lots of buses, cabs as well as the train that will take you to Mumbai from Pune. However you haven't provided proper information about the exact to and from locations in Pune and Mumbai. but ill try my best to help you out though.

If you are going by train ( 3 - 4.5 hours), you need to take one from Pune Station. The best place to get down from that train will be at Dadar station. From there you can take a local train ( 20 minutes), get a rickshaw(40 minutes to infinity) or get a cab(40 minutes to infinity) to Santacruz. The infinity is mentioned because i never trust Bbay's traffic.

Charges: Rs 100 - 130 for normal coach, Upto Rs 250 for A.C.
Total Travel Time : 5 hours (Approx)

Now, the bus option.
You can get a Shivneri bus - run by the state transport - MSRTC(recommended 3 - 4.5 hrs) from Pune Station and Aundh in Pune. Neeta travels(baaad 4 - 5 hrs) is also a famous travel bus service but definitely not recommended. It starts from Pune station and Aundh and drops you at Dadar as well as Borivali. From both these place, you have the same options as above to reach Santacruz airport - train, bus or cab.

Charges - Rs 200 for Neeta and Rs 225 for Shivneri.
Total Travel Time - 5 hours(Approx)

Finally, the cab option. These cabs might take you all the way to Santacruz. If you haven't been to Bombay before, i would suggest this option to you. Bombay can be tough for a lot of people.

Charges : 1100 Rs for one way ride
Total Travel Time : 2.5 to 4.5 hours.

I assume you are not driving yourself so try the airport drop services it 1500 one way and they take almost 3hrs time from pune and its door to door service

I use services if i want to travel early morning or late night
or i travel this way and its cheaper
and i avoid the traffic and reach safely
i alight at mankhurd flyover( to avoid the chembur traffic ) and take a rick to airport it charges 90/- it takes 3.5 hrs this way or other way if i have ample time is i travel upto sion flyover and then take a rick to airport via bandra east it charges 50/- but the time taken could be 5-5.5 hrs
