How to reach shimla from delhi?

Hi Sachin, I have visited Simla 2 times. Train is the best options for you, if you are reaching at New Delhi Railway Station on 25th May.

The train "KALKA SHTABADI" leaves New Delhi at 7:40 AM and reach to Kalka 11:45 AM. From Kalka you can take another train HIMALYAN QUEEN that leaves Kalka station at 12:10 AM. You can opt for Bus too. Please don't hesitate, Himalyan Queen will leave the station after reaching Kalka Shtabadi even it is late by 5 or 10 minute.

I would suggest you to book your tickets in advance at indian railway webste irctc.co.in. The train fair of KALKA SHTABADI is around 450 per person and for HIMALYAN QUEEN 150 per person. Both of the trains are full Air Conditioned. You'll get tea and breakfast as well.

as i have searched easiest way is by train from delhi to kalka and from kalka to shimla on toy train enjoying sesenic beauty

there are lots of buses from delhi to shimla ... at morning time its better u can go by morning via sonipat panipat chandigarh for your best accommodation please log on to following links.

Go to chandigarh by air and from there by car to simla .It will take 4 hrs to reach 90 km from Chandigarh to simla

by air first u will arrive at chandigarh. from chd.you can go on train or bus which is suitable for u.

bus will be the best option as train services are limited. there is no need to book bus in advance as they operate twenty four into seven from delhi ISBT. the journey will take 10 hours.
better option will be to go to Chandgarh 5 hours and next day chandigarh shimla 4 hours. Chandigarh is also a good tourist place

you can take a bus from delhi to shimla as many tour operators run buses of all types to shimla. alternatively you can take a train to kalka and take bus from there or the toy train from kalka to shimla if its available.

nd if u wanna enjoy all the scenic beauty then u should go fr train...bt it takes too much time...even more than a bus...
so i would always go fr bus...
