7-10 days will not be enough!
I was in Bangalore for over three months so I have lots of ideas for you. I went on Safari at the National Park. You should try that. Also, Mysore Palace is beautiful. You should see the Tibetan Golden Temple, Iskcon Temple, Stone Temple. I also recommend you go to Ooty. The drive is long, but there is much to see and it's beautiful.
If you have a chance for a quick flight over to Delhi, the drive to Agra is only a couple of hours from there and Taj Mahal is an experience you don't want to miss.
For shopping in Bangalore, I highly recommend Commercial Street. It's packed on the weekends, but not too bad during the weekdays. They have everything you could possibly want. I probably spent a little too much money on Commercial Street. Don't get me wrong, everything is reasonably priced, I just shopped there about 5 times! I ended up having to buy another suitcase for my trip back to the States.
Do have a good time in India. It's a beautiful place with beautiful people.
I fell in love with it and miss it so much. |
