I think you wouldn't have much of a problem. Let me put it this way. If an Indian girl is from a conservative, deeply religious family ( Hindu or otherwise), she's not likely to be dating a foreigner ( which I assume you are). Well, if she's dating you, she's not likely to be overly touchy about religion or dating etiquette. Sorry if that came out a little wrong, but you get the picture...
In the unlikely event that the girl you're dating is doing so defying rigid societal norms with / without her family's knowledge / approval, i would ask you to be prepared for heartbreak.

Ask her directly and tell her that if she gets offended she should let you know, so you will not do that or say that. Looks like you are worried about cultural differences. So be open about it and get it out of the way.
India is made up of actually (various Kingdoms) that is almost like 750 countries or so, so depending on where from India she is, she would have different likes and the dislikes.
