Kerala(KERALAM) is a green state.( kera=coconut and alam= farm)People are friendly.but half of them are still little bit narrow minded.So prepare to be well dressed.
Kerala is hot in the month of March to May last.The temparature is 90F (32C) in these season.From June to September is the Mansoon.After that it is winter but it will go less than 68F(20C) The atmosphere is highly humid.
The largest air port in Kerala is Kochi and it is in the middle of the state.

We stayed near Kovolam in Kerala last year. We had a direct flight with Emirates The weather was about 32 degree s but very humid at times. India is a GREAT PLACE. wARNING THOUGH WE WERE TRANSFERRED FROM kOCHI AIRPORT AND IT TOOK 6 LONG HOURS DON T DO IT.

I too am looking to visit. I am told it is warm in March and it is supposed to be the best beaches in India. The only issue is your flights will probably need to have one stop. I would suggest BA to Bangalore then Jet Airways onto Kerala....

March would be hot and humid. Trivandrum (Kovalum Beach with black sands ) is very relaxing.
You can get direct flights to Trivandrum or Cochi from NY or NJ via 'Air India' and I believe "Kuwait airways' .....there is a halt in LondonDubai but, you don't worry about luggage etc etc..
