I'm a teen too and live in India. Trust me, you don't wanna get stared at by people or groped by men!
It happens here (it happened to me when I was nearly your age) all the time to westerners. If you wear figure-hugging clothes, men here may cause some 'accidental body contact'. Plus it's so crowded, you won't even be able to make out who your offender was. And remember-no body's afraid to tease a 13-year old!
So, stay on the safer side and be trendy too. Try long flowing skirts available locally, cargoes, loose khakis or jeans (not capri, ankle-lengths and NEVER short skirts). In tops, try loose cotton blouses, tees etc. Tank tops, spaghetti straps or even sleeveless are a big no-no here.
And if you find it interesting enough, try the native salwar kameez!! In short, stay fully covered, and enjoy your visit! |
