I'm travelling from Hyderabad to Pune in Air Deccan/Kingfisher. First time flyer, need help!?

I1) If you have booked an e-ticket,take a print out of the copy,.incase you have paper ticket, no issues.Also, tkae a print out of this answer to use as guideline if lost

2) Reach airport atleast 90 min before departure
2) Keep your ticket handy
3) You need to enter into the airport from departure gate.At teh departure gate,you need to show your ticket to Security gaurd who allows you inside
4) There are two types of luggage. One is cabin baggage and the other is hand baggage. Examples of cabin baggage are huge bags, breif cases etc. You cannot carry them inside the plane. Examples of Hand baggage are hand bag, laptop etc.
5) You have to get the cabin baggage screened. Make sure there is no objectionable( explosives etc) material
6) Once the screeing is done, you have to go to Kingfisher/deccan counter and as kfor boarding pass. Form then, the lady there will guide you. Whne she asks if there is any cabin baggage, show her your suit case/bag etc.After she takes the luggage,its the airlines responsibility to deliver it in Pune. You need not carry your luggage after that point. Take the boarindg pass form her. While taking boaring pass, you can request for window seat. Take the airlines tag for your hand baggage

7) After this, you are left only with your hand baggage.So make sure that you have your timepass material( IPOD, Novel etc) in your hand baggage only.

8) Await for security check announcement.Once the announcement is made, go for security check, where security personnel will frisk you. At the time of security check, you need to put your hand baggage for screeing. Check if they have ou the security check stamp on your boarind pass and hand baggage tag.

9) Await for boaring announcement.

10) Board the flight
11) Enjoy ( No food in Deccan though)
12)Get down in Pune
13) Go to baggage collection counter
14)there is a conveyor belt on which you luggage would come. Take it.
15) COme out of the airport
16) Go home
17) Open INternet

For the first time flyers:
1. The weight of your luggage should be within the limits mentioned in your ticket. So, try to weigh one day before you fly.
2. Try to reach atleast 2 hrs before your flight to avoid long queues and rush.
3. Keep your ticket readily available.
4. Once you enter the airport, you have to go for scanning of baggage(not the cabin baggage).
5. Do not carry liquids, any kind of explosives etc. If you have some electronic items eg cameras, remove the batteries from them.
6. Go to the correct counter eg. Kingfisher/Jet economy/business, give your tickets and baggage. Then you will get the boarding pass. You can also request for a window seat. On your boarding pass they will stick the information with tag no of your baggage so at the time of check-out, you can match your baggage with the tag no.
7. So, once you have boarding pass with you, you can relax till they announce for the boarding of flight.
8. Do not carry any liquids, ciggerates, lighters, anything sharp in your cabin baggage. I lost a swiss knife once, I forgot to take it out of my laptop bag.

reach airport 90 minutes before the take off... carry min lugague .. carry a photo id and rember to take tickets......

u can acrry upto 6 kg in your hand banngage ( should be one piece.. no 2 bags or packets.. and he other ban upto 16 kgs can go as baggage which you need to check in thru the baggage counter.. and collect it at the pune airport

cell phones need to be switched off during travel a.. keep it in your hand baggage...

thats it nothing to worry.... its simplar than a train travel..

You reach air port at least 90 mins before departure. show your ticket print out to security at departure block in domestic block in Hyderabad air port. Show your ticket and If asked I D proof at the Deccan check-in counter. No need to take a xerox, show the original and take it back. They will issue you a boarding pass. If you have more than a small brief case or a hand baggage (The sizes are given in your ticket) you have to hand the over to Air lines staff at check in counter, they will give you a token.

Wait for security check announcement, proceed to security check, show your boarding pass, keep your hand baggage in the X ray machine, get yourself checked, go to other side of the X ray machine, collect your baggage and wait for the boarding announcement.

Deccan air ways do not give any free food in the flight except a small water bottle that too a complementary by Kingfisher people.

Hi,

If you have passport carry with you. Go to airport atleast one and half hour or 2 hours before (some time it will too crowd for security checking). May be you will reach with in an hour, so no need to take any think. Water and some snacks they will provide. (NOTE: And don't take any weapons with you. ha ha ha) Have a nice journey dude.

Lol.ha ha ha .....don't take tiffin with you.... and don't buy any thing in the plane becoz they will provide every thing free of cost....... and you cannot do foot boarding so go as soon as possible... and take one chair.... when every you leave your seat put hand kerchief....
If you open the window of the plain then don't keep your hand out side the window...

oh my God same query here... im lil bit afraid of aeroplanes and have to visit Chitral from Abbottabad Pakistan very near in furure.what i know is that we cant take any liquid with us while flying,we should take clothes acc to the climate of that place.other daily useable things.
