Delhi, the capital of India.
Jaipur, the pink city. (a few hour drive from delhi)
Ajanta and Ellora caves in Maharashtra. (overnight journey by train)
Agra, the Taj Mahal city. (4 hr drive from delhi)
i guess these would suffice 8 days. |

Eight days isn't really that much so if you like old splendour and elegance, then go to Rajasthan. Hyderabad and Lucknow also have some of this. If you like hustle, bustle, ghettoness, and movie craze, then go to Mumbai. If you go to Mumbai, then you should spare a day or two to go to Pune and Lonavla / Khandala. There are lovely watefalls there in the monsoon. If you're into natural beauty, then South India might be good. If you go here, then be sure to visit Hyderabad. |

If u r fond of old forts- don't miss forts of Maharashtra. Many are withing easy reach from Mumbai and Pune. Visit atleast few.
Don't miss :
vibrancy of Mumbai,
Regal and royal feeling of Rajasthan locales,
Charm of Delhi,
Sunny and shiny Goa,
and if still there's some time available:Do visit Chamba and Mcleodganj (Dharamshala) in Himachal. |
