I have booked a rail ticket in irctc.com but due to some reason the server fails and the ticket is not booked?

but the amount is deducted .ie 921 ruppees.
my transaction id is 0067269988.
pls answer me what i will do .

Don't worry Ravi, you will get full refund if the ticket have not booked for you. YOu'll get it within 1 week...

you can check if the tickets are printed in "Booked Tickets" option. If not, you will get a refund shortly. This has happend to me and even I was worried, but I got my refund promptly.
In any case you have the transaction Id and details, you can always call their helpdesk and get a reassurance.

Its an Indian government website which i would never trust. My suggestion would be go to a reservation centre and get it resolved there also if you taken a print out of your transaction take it with you and paying a agent would hasten the process. You can find several peons or agents standing by the kiosk where you get forms for reservation who will do it for a small fee. If you decide to stand in line you will end up wasting the whole day. This is generally the case at Churchgate or V.T. in Mumbai.

The refund is based on the bank only.
If you have done it with credit card, the amount would be credited back to your account.
In case of a nationalised government bank, it takes some time.

IRCTC automatically refunds the amount. If you do not receive any notification from irctc in 24 to 48 hours, call customer care and inform.

They will revert the transaction.
Anyways, the ticket is not booked, you'll have to do it again.
better go to manual counter. Its safe and easy.

You may Login a little later and check whether the booking has been done by clicking Re-print tickets link on the left menu. If the ticket does not show there with the Transaction id you put in, IRCTC will refund you within a week or so - this has happened to me once earlier and I got the full refund within 3-4 days.

You dont have to worry about the transaction. It is normally refunded back within 1-2 days.
