I want help in planng a holiday in india in october? |
me & my wife wish to go out for a holiday of 8-10 days in india around diwali; i.e. october 21. we are not sure what place to pick ? can anybody suggest a good place & experience. we want to join a group tour, as we've travelled alone lots of times. this time we want company, also freedom of going out in search of vegetarian food |

First decide which place u want to visit. For this u have a lot of sites which give this information. If you want good spicy vegetaraian food food visit south India, non - spicy food u can visit
western India and eastern India. There a lot of tour operators who specialise in a specific area. So enquire more before you decide |

I just recently returned from India. I was there on business so didn't get to play tourist as much as I wanted.
I will say that I loved Delhi. Going to Agra to see Taj Mahal was incredible.
I stayed in Bangalore and got to see Bangalore Palace, Mysore Palace, Isckon Temple, The Tibetan Golden Temple, Stone Temple, etc. I also went on the Grand Safari tour at the National Park. (So it sounds like I was able to do a LOT of the touring, but I was there for three and a half months!)
You could also go to Ooty. It's in Tamil Nadu.....

Couple of non-standard options to consider:
- Andaman and Nicobar Islands (very beautiful with forests and pristine beaches though was underdeveloped for tourism 10 years back!)
- River rafting along the Ganges (@Rishikesh)
- A trip to the Himalayan foothills
- Sikkim (its almost not India!)
- Goa (ok this is a standard one!)
I have no clue about the group tour part maybe you can google (oops sorry yahoo) search for that. Good luck and have fun. |

yes friend, tell me your itinerary. if not then I will like to tell some places which you must visit those are Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Mysore, Goa, hyderabad. it enough your your 8-12 days plan. I can give you company and I also visited these palces. Don't mind people are very friendly and lot of welcome and veg foods you find. |
