Ganpatipule would be a good holiday.

It has a marvellous beach, a peaceful temple, and the drive is beautiful!
You can either pitch a tent at the end of the beach or live in MTDC resort which is right on the beach.

It is a religious place so not many tourists there and the beach is left to you to enjoy

Well i Assume you want a short distance as you said Lonavala etc.

There are quite a few good places near Neral and Karjat. Lots of farm houses near the river. so if you are a nature lover, consider that.

GP - as said by few is a good option.

Alibaug, iam sure you would have considered. have you? can try the ferry from Gate Way of India. Again lots of privateaccommodationss by the beach.

Or try the gujarat coast up to daman.

Book yourself in a 5 star with in MUM for a day it would cost similar and a differentexperiencee.

go to bhandavgarh national park in MP which has the biggest tiget denisty in the world. take the train to katni in MP.

u can go 2 essel world,fantasy land,,hiranandani,,chopati beach,,,badra beach,,,,gate of india,,,,juhu bech,,,,,haji ali darga,,,,shivagi's place dat place v have 2 go 4m gate of india by ship its one hour travelling,,,,,nnd also u can go long drive 4m bombay 2 pune dat road z superb

Hmmm...that is not a tough ask. You can plan for Goa. Make your visit a honeymoon kind of visit. Take night cruise. Visit night clubs. Hang on baches. Book a good hotel, atleast 3 star.

I am planning to visit Goa in coming September.

make a trip to south india. go to ootty , kodaikkanal. its better than lonavala and mahabaleswar. because i visited all this places. and you can go to mysore and mudumalai forest . its also near to ootty. all the best.

Try Arnala.

On Western Railway- Virar is the last suburban station. From Virar it's about 10 kms. You can take an auto. If you travel by ur own car it is hardly 1 and half hour drive at the most from Mumbai-Dadar.

Many nice accomodations, nice food. Area is lush green around. Only hitch is do not venture in seas as it is a dangerous monsoon season.

Cbeach Resorts is a nice secluded place with various accomodation choices, excellent food and lots of games in-house.

Ofcourse if you wish to visit few tourist spots around, there are virtually none in Arnala. Fort is almost inaccessible in monsoons. Jivdani Temple ( thousands visit daily ) is in Virar, ancient temple in Nirmal village. Vajreshwari has got ancient temples ( almost 30 kms from Virar).

Hi, if u want to just sit back and chill out doin nothing .. then go to Ganpatiphule .... away from the crowds .. u can take a car or a bus or a train.
If u want to party GO GOA!!! trust me nothing like it.
Both of them are not too expensive. the MTDC in G-phule is very nice.

First of all whenevr you are planning to go on a holiday you should tell what is your budget???? Then only a suggestion can be made.

Upon that you have also not mentioned the number of days you are planning to go on a holiday. Without your budget and number of days you have planned how do you suggest us to tell you which spot will suit you.
