Of course you should! Don't miss the opportunity. I'm very interested in the Indian culture myself. It's got a lot to offer, trust me. But if you're going to some of the poorer parts, you might not adjust to it very well...so it's up to you. |

India is a vast country. You have been offered the trip to which city or place.
There is so much to see and so much to do but everything depends on your personal tastes.
Much would also depend on your age. |

I'm always a fan of going places and seeing things that I might never get a chance to see otherwise. Go. You'll find plenty of stuff to do. I'm not sure how well traveled you are, but you will surely find some ways to enjoy yourself, and if you are so inclined, do some good. :) |

Hiya,
I go to India all the time and i love it - you have got to go- u will have an amazing time!!
I don't know where you are flying to or even how long you have got in India but here are a few suggestions:
First of all i suggest bombay, such a cosmopolitian city- unlike anywhere u have ever been.
Then Mt.Abu (Rajastan)- really chilled out town on a huge hill with amazing scenery and wildlife.
Pushkar (rajasthan), a holy town situated around a holy lake- it has a really nice feel this place and a feeling of calm and spirituality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Jaisalmer (golden city) (rajasthan) to go into the Thar desert from here on a camel safari. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Agra (uttar pradesh) for the taj mahal .
Ajanta Caves (maharashtra)- amazing caves from years back- good if u like your culture.
Manali (himachal Pradesh) to be in the himylayas (need i say more)
But i HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gokarna (just south from Goa)
Gokarna (Cow's Ear) is a really great place. Its one of the most sacred sites in South India and has a great atmosphere. Its a sleepy, charming town with wooden houses on the main street and attrative traditional houses in nearby alleys.
Gokarna is the new place to go for the travellers who are fed up with the overcrowdedness of Goa and even has beaches to rival its neighbour.
A 15 minute walk from Gokarna or a 150 rupee (£2/$4) tuk tuk ride will take you to Om beach which is a gorgeous beach which is so uniquely different. You have a couple of shacks there serving food and drinks. Its usually deserted apart from on Indian holidays.
In Gokarna i HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Hotel Gokarna International Hotel. Its an air-conditioned hotel which is classy and has character. Its well organized and modern and all rooms have a balcony and TV. A single room is 195 rupees (£2.40/$4.80), a double room is 230 rupees (£2.80/$5.60), and a triple room is 300 rupees (£3.60/$7.20)
From Gokarna you can get to Margao in South Goa on a bus for 50 rupees (60p/$1.20) and this takes 4 hours
Or you can get a train from Gokarna Road Train station which is 9km from town. This will cost you 100 rupees (£1.20/$2.40) in a tuk tuk to get there from Gokarna. Or you can get an hourly bus which costs 6 rupees (10p/$0.20)
There is a 10.45am train to Margao (Goa) which takes 2 hours and it costs 24 rupees (30p/$0.60). Another leaves at 6.30 pm and takes only 1 and a half hours but costs more at 55 rupees (60p/$1.20).
My TOP 3 Favourite Places are:
JAISALMER
PUSHKAR
GOKARNA
Anyways have a great holiday and i hope this helped!

India has everything from palaces, forts, enchanted temples, and the northern desert to the himalayas, beaches of goa and white water rafting in kerala...Obviously you cant do all this in one trip but you can pick a tour! India is a very beautiful country and quite underrated due to the negative media depictions in the U.S....Here is some more info on India...India is the second fastest growing economy in the world with a big time information technology and infosystems hub...The largest film and music industry in the world( all films are NOT musicals). A big fashion industry as well. The talent pool in the country is insane...a 400 million middle class and most of them know english. They have recently started to manufacture cars but that will take a while to reach international standards...Since 1947, India has continued to grow bigger and bigger. Currently it's a big time global player in the economy.Go to India, trust me you will have the time of your life....if you want a uniwue experiance, go to delhi, agra, jaipur, jaiselmar and udaipur! If you have time check out mumbai! |

take it!!!
you can do lots of stuff in india. you can eat, sleep, drink...do everything you can anywhere else. also, you'll see a whole new culture- weird to you, perhaps, but certainly interesting. you can see the monuments and all...like the taj mahal, there are other palaces too. there are lots of garden. open markets where you can haggle, fancy hotels where you can enjoy, pretty places you can visit, party at pubs, you can do lots of stuff! |

See for yourself dude. But it's very dirty out there. Flights to India land at nighttime, so you won't see the ugly houses and structures as you land. |
