Dear Nitin,
Cool, Calm & Non-Crowdy Place will be Munnar in Kerala. You can club either Kodaikanal or Backwaters of Kerala with this trip.
Munnar is hill station, cool place, lot of greenery (tea plantations), watery... Even you can enjoy boating in lake. But there will be no beaches... So better to Go Directly to Munnar and enjoy the beauty of Munnar in a Day and return through Devikulam, Thekkady etc... (all cool and green places) and go to Kumarakam / Alleppy for a Backwater Houseboat trip, it will be memorable one... and enjoy the silent beauty of Kerala.
