I would like to travel by road from bangalore to ooty and ooty to kodiakanal?
can u tell me the travel time it will take and if u travel from bangalore airport u go to ooty first and then kodiakanal
Bangalore --Mysore --Bandipur santuary --ooty is the shortest route .Earlier this route used to avoid due to that famous dacoit .Since his killing this route is safe and lot of buses ,taxi are plying .Hill road journey
Ooty to kodaikanal; is arround 120 km --buses ,taxi available
I suggest hire a taxi on rent from Bangalore Rs 6 per km and daily 150 /- basis
total Km would be 830 km on both ways .You can hire a qualis for 8 persons .so it will be cheaper for taxi and hassels free of buing bus ticket ,train ticket etc etc .
Total 6000 --- taxi for 5 days == 6000
daily 3000 for all expenses for 5 days =15000
daily hotel charge Rs 4000 for 3 days =12000
Total expenses ===33000 plus minus 4000 of other charges
total charges per person =4500 .It is cheaper than any other mode
Even package tour will cost you 12000 per person ==total 96000 for 8 person
going by bus train ..lodging ,hiring tax on the spot would cost you not less than 9000 for 5 days per person == total cost 72000 for 8 person

Banglore to Ooty is around 4 to 5 hours
Ooty to Kodai is around 6 to 8 hours.
Best would be to go from Banglore to Mysore then to Ooty to Coimbatore to Kodai.
and finally yes Ooty first and then Kodai from Banglore...
