You should have no problems getting a flight to Goa as from the top of my head i can think of 6 airlines which fly to Goa daily. Just in case air tickets are unavailable there are from Bombay to Goa daily. The Konkan kanya is a sleeper train and a very comfortable way to travel to Goa. There are a couple of day trains too. You will get information on the trains on: indianrail.gov.in.
There used to be a Catamaran service to Goa but I am pretty certain that it has now been discontinued.
The road journey is very scenic but its a Long 8 to 10 hours drive. |

KONKAN RAILWAY RUNS FOUR TRAINS TO GOA. YOU CAN BOARD ONE DEPENDING IF YOU WANT TO TRAVEL DURING THE NIGHT OR THE DAY. I SUGGEST YOU TAKE A DAY TRIP, IT IS SCENIC & BEAUTIFUL.
ALTERNATIVELY, LUXURIOUS SLEEPER BUSES LEAVE FOR GOA EVERY EVE FROM ANDHERI, GHATKOPAR, DADAR, DHOBHI TALAO FOR PANAJI & MARGOA.
HAVE A NICE TRIP :-) |

the best/easiest means is probably train, but if i remember correctly it takes about 11 hours. If plane is a possibility, spicejet offer some very good deals, it only takes 1 hour with them |

Travel by Konkan Rail it a experience in itself. You could also take a but or hire a car /drive down. There are also cruises that take you from Bombay to Goa. Check it out with the tour operators. |

There are many private luxury buses and sleeper coaches available for Goa. If you go by train you will save time but you will have to book in advance. If you are going along with your family then you have an option of a.c / non a.c. cars. |

You can go to Goa by train. Probably it is Janshatabdi Express which runs on Konkan Railway route and it is superfast. i dont know exact hrs. taken for the journey. But it must be less than 12 hrs.
By road it takes more time and the journey itself is very tiresome. |
