If tamil in chennai then why not marathi in maharashtra?

I am a tamilian. I dont mind people migrating to other states. But they should always keep one thing in mind. Dont spoil the local's culture and dont try to dominate their local language with ur migrating language. Thats is the cause of all problem
The people who migrate to chennai or tamil nadu learn tamil and follow the local culture.So,it is not that we are against other state people. We welcome others and make sure our culture doesn't get influenced by the migrants and neither our language.

Marati's didnt do that. you allowed hindi to dominate you and delhi's wetern culture to dominate which created all chaos. you guys should have taught the migrants how to live in peace(like in chennai) by following your culture.

Now it is too late to fight against them. Instead teach them to follow ur culture and language and live with harmony like we do.

FYI,Chennai is the only place where north indians try to learn the loacal language.

FYI only 60% of people living in Tamil Nadu are Tamil.Most of the others dont even try to talk in Tamil.

No harm ...to emphasis the development of marathi people and the language you ask and suggest your governments to take need full steps .
But not like this going around killing people. Howling like stray dogs in streets. There has never been an incident in chennai where people have gone around beating up people from other states. That needs a bit for culture to think of ways to get our job done without bothering others. This actually puts a bad picture of marathis in the country and a shameful face for our country in the world..

Mumbai is a city of abunch of people living in different groups and that is a miniaure india. in some sense. They have adopted hindi as a medium of expression and are managing themselves. It is the peopes choice and this is how it has happened. After all people have to inter act with each ohtr for their daily existance first.

Definitely. We are a secular country. But that doesn't mean that those who do not speak it are forced to. Then you do not just oppose democracy but kill the right of an individual. Every state has a rich culture and each one of us contributes to the Nation's growth so its everyone's right to be themselves. But if you are killing each other and beating innocent people in the name of culture then be ready to face the heat. It is India that looks after us and not politicians.
