1. If you are not a citizen of India then you will need a tourist
visa to come to India.

2. If this is going to be your first visit to India and you are not
coming with a group then you might want to book a tour.
This way the tour company takes care of you and has
very thing planned. Some tour companies provide you
with a meal and most provide transportation. Which makes
your trip stress free. This way when you come the second
time you have an idea of how things work in India.

3. If you decide on a tour then the tour company will help
you with booking a ticket and stuff. But if you decide to go
on a adventure then shop around when booking for a
ticket. Try to go to local travel agencies because they
have cheaper tickets then on-line rate. But shop around
on-line and local travel agencies.

It is best if you travel in a group or go with someone who is familiar with India and the different area's in India.

mal.nabanita is a crook... big fraud. Look at all his/her answers. This person seems to be from India. He/She would visit a particular section and then give the same answer to each question: "www.google.com"

Whenever this person visitis the category of Indian tourism the answer to each question is either:

"www.indiatourism.com" or "www.incredibleindia.com"

For answers to the questions in sub-categories in India, the answer would be:

â€œwww.<state>tourism.comâ€ or "www.indiarail.com" etc

This is just the ridiculous way of earning points and violates the yahoo community rules and very irritating too. I have ereported this to yahoo but it seems they are more worried about being takenover by Microsoft.

So you want to come to India,

If you are not a indian citizen you will have to apply for a tourist visa from the Indian Ambassy,

then by a ticket from a travel agent,
(there are travel agents in phil...)

Then when you have arrived, (flight) - this is India

very easy. go to manila and catch- flight for mumabi or delhi.
if you want to visit india western parts like mumbai, pune, Goa,Banglore are the best and good for visiters.and be careful if you come alone.afterall it is INDIA.

As someone has advised.. You need visa first ,
Then plan your journey..

Dont go between April to August as it will be very hot and then Rain..
Sep to March will be better time..

Or rather oct to January ..

Its always hot there, Day time temp will be between 25-35 depends up-on place

Nice places to visit..
Goa, Kerala, Mumbai ..Ooty , Banglore .. towards south west..

Up north..
Simla, Kulu-manali, Agra , Nainital.. Delhi...

West North - Rajasthan..
Lots of places.. Udaipur, Jaipur..

Take cottons with you..
If you are going alone , be careful with money and all.
People can ask for more money as there is nothing like fixed in terms of rate ..
Cab and Auto rikshaw do have meters , so keep in mind that.

Try to go with Tour to avoid hassel and no one can rip you off.

if you are buying things from local market , always negociate in price.. you need to do good bargain..

Some places up to 50% as when they see foreigeners they will ask for more money..
