Namaste is a word of sanskrit. It means I bow to divine in you. Yeah It's also mean Hello Friend, in english.

lordefan
Yes, a translation of namaste yaar would mean "hello friend" but this phrase sounds odd to my ears, since "namaste" is formal, while "yaar" is informal. yaar is used for friends. in India right now, young people would address their friends as Hello Yaar...never namaste!

nameste :- the traditional welcome can also mean welcome hello hi etc
yaar :- friend

otisabi
Do I really have to be Hindi to answer this?

It means

"the deity/holyness/divine in me salutes the deity in you."

"Yaar" is a nice way of saying "baby/pumpkin/luv".

Namaste is very formal, meaning i bow to you in Sanskrit.while yaar is very very informal meaning pal, dude, or friend. More common salutations, are in english for lots of ppl speak english now and Namaste is weird when compared with yaar
