hi surabhi in india u have so many beautiful places to see.if u are wishing to visit tamil-nadu chennai is not best place becoz it will be too hot.better go to ooty or near coimbatore there is a place called top-slip a forest border of tn & kerala.have a nice trip .

Ooty is a good destination to spend your holiday. Ooty is known as the "Queen of Hill Stations", Ooty is a very popular hill station that is situated in the Nilgiris. It offers spectacular scenic beauty and bracing climate. Places of interest in Ooty are botanical gardens, boat club, golf course etc.

Kodaikanal is also a good option. It is Known as "The Princess among Hill Stations", Kodaikanal, situated in the Nilgiris, is 120km from Madurai. It has a solar physics observatory, museum, orchidarium, Kurinji flowers that blooms once in every 12 years. Its star shaped lake is popular for boating and fishing.

It will be little cold at the hill stations, so it is good to carry a good sweater. (or) You can buy nice warm sweater from Tibet market just opposite to botanical garden. The sweater costs from Rs. 150/- to 1000.

yes otty is the right option to choice to go . channai is very hot .. but we can see on evening times .. you want coll place then go to ooty ,,

SV
Try some adventurous trip to some wild life sancturies like Jim corbett National park , Ranthambore etc.

For a holiday trip, Ooty is the best place than Chennai, if you really mean as 'holiday'. In Ooty it is very cold, may reach 14-15 degree Celcious. One thing to be remembered, The people who lives in hot region loves cold region and vice versa. Chennai or other Cities, are suitable for spending and enjoy, but Ooty is different - we would feel the patting and chatting with nature. A better place is Thekkady in Kerala, much better than Ootty. Life should be with trees and birds and NOT bounded by cement walls.

Go to ooty since its december the climate is very chill in ooty night time temperatures will drop even till 6 to 7 degree celcious. If you want to enjoy a holiday with your family ooty would be the perfect destination.

Go to Ooty It will be very pleasent now. It is enough you have some ordinary winter clothes. You will enjoy it. Donot ever go to Chennai - It is full of cheats and you will loose everything. -

Otty - Udagamandalam, formerly Ootacamund , town (1991 pop. 81,763), Tamil Nadu state, SW India, in the Nilgiri Hills. At an altitude of c.7,000 ft (2,130 m), the town is the most famous hot-weather resort in S India and has a significant tourism industry. It is also a district administrative center and a market for tea, coffee, teak, and sandalwood. There are industries in textile manufacture and tea-processing in Udagamandalam.-
