Is New York, USA safe for an Indian to visit?

chetansunnypatil
Hay dude India welcomes each and every guest that comes to visit no matter where he comes from.
For your general information We say "Our guests are our gods ".
I understand its not developed like USA and UK but yes it is much more satisfied then them in consideration with peace of mind and love for human race.

For your information

Being unwanted, unloved, uncared and forgotten by everybody,

I think that is a much greater sorrow than hunger, poverty, and shelter in the today’s world.

-Mother Teresa
and this is what exactly we have and USa nad UK dont have.

You are welcome with a Great open heart

Believe me, Bombay in India is like New York of the U.S

The only difference is that there are a lot of Indians, and that it not as dangerous.

You should be safe

It is safe for Americans to travel to India. If you haven't been their before I advise you to read up a little on weather, culture and places before you go.Most people answering this question seem to know the city intimately so their experience may not be same as what you may find in your one week . Go to nearest Barnes and Nobel and pick up lonely planet's book on India and read the chapter on Bombay before you decide. Also try this link

India over all isn't Violante for foreigners, it is not south America. i used to tour the slams of Bombay with a fancy camera when i was 17 yrs old. i am now 33.
i don't think you should look for trouble but there is a good chance that the Worth thing may happen to you is pick pocketing and not rub or attack.
Hindus and Muslim can always have reason to fight, terror attacks may accoure once in awhile, therefore Bombay may trap you in some clashes, but this is rear and ou cant predict it.
any way now days no one can avoid terror, i arrived to NYC on sep 10, 2001?!

Ofcourse its safe and its very attractive city, total fun, Its said Mumbai(new name of Bombay) never sleeps so you can enjoy as much as in day the same in night.

People are cool. Surely eat batatawara, paw-bhaji and chat there

India is cool country.

I like Agra,Panchmari,Simla,Dehradun,Massorie also Southern India is beautiful.

Mainly I liked India because, US has more artificial attraction but India I found was naturally beautiful.

And good n bad people are everywhere.

Good Luck

If you want the Cleaning crew to like you Jew than eat no meat, wear tea tree oil as an insect repellant and always treat everybody as if Grandma is the lady driving the van.
If you are intent on fomenting a trade disagreement behave as if you are sitting next to a Confederate Soldier D.O>B. June 3, 1817 and you are a Marine from 1970 with a very bossy Dachshund as your general.
If nun of this refers to your intended Q? then please visit a nice Indian hotel/eatery and tip outrageously for better intel. Namaste!
