yes, india is a developing country.
i don't understand for the word '' still '' .
All countries are developing including india. First you should understand that there will be no ''fullstops'' for developments.
no country will say '' my country is fully developed ''.
The countries will develop from one to another to achieve certain ends.
when radio found, the country did not rest with that development, they developed FM, then black and white television, then colour television, etc., similarly, phone..now all countries are developing including india over mobile phones. First ordinary mobiles, then camera mobiles, now you know about the latest mobiles and its facilities which are beyond words. i don't know about tomorrow which may come surprisingly. so, developing will have no end. India is a developing country, we developed in so many sectors including IT sector, astronomy, and also in many fields. just look back 10 to 15 years back. where was the IT sectors ? where was the automobile sectors? where was so many companies ? All people depended the government and waited in the employment exchange. Now, you please see the employment exchanges.. you can see the staff alone there. why no rush there ? why people not interested to go there ? where is the opportunity in govt sectors ? Now see, all people are employed in so many companies, wherever you see, there you can find many sectors. Employment opportunities are available. In fact no one interested in govt work. New researches are going on. The companies are starting to manufacture the people's needs. see, some 10 years ago, say in a town, there you can find one or two cars owned by some rich. Now see, all are having car except one or two. All are having mobile sets. All are having two wheelers and people completely forgot bicycles. Rush in clothe centers, Rush in jewel shops. i can say more. so, people's buying capacity increased means, people are earning. For people to earn, the nation should give due opportunities, to give opportunities, the nation should be a developed in all sectors. Now say, india is a developed nation or not.
but, i am unable to say it fully developed, it is developing and developing. and surely not still. |

Well, yes and no.
No: India is only developed in it's Electronics, and IT, and IT related economy. I think that it is clearly developed in those areas of the Indian Economy.
Yes: Indian is still developing with it's internal infrastructure, and internal development (airports, roads, and etc.) It is also developing in things such as it's agriculture, textile, and other economic aspects of it the Indian Economy.
So beside the Electronics, an IT economy India is still a developing country in all other parts of the economy. |

yes definitely.
It is making huge advancements in technology and economic areas. Like china, its industry sector is booming.
As has already been said, though, the living conditions are something that still need improving.
As an economy, india will be the subject of great issues involving world economy and political issues. |

That is a tricky thing to answer because the answer is Yes and No...it is developing in the business and IT, the economy also seems to be improving. However, the quality and standard of living is still dwindled due to the size of the population. |

Not exactly. In terms of culture it has a religion Hinduism which is about 10,000 years old.
Take a look at this next photograph - it's one of the modern wonders of the world and it's in India

India has a fast growing economy.
Look at it from this perspective. India has a middle class which numbers 200,000,000 - yes, two hundred millions. The entire pop of USA = 300-millions. So from this you can see who will soon have more people buying goods and who will drag the world economy back out of the ditch on back up onto the road.

You should have put the question with better clarity. If the question is with respect to western developed countries the answer is simple "yes, It is still under developing stage". Be aware India is not an Under-developed Nation!
By and large there is no established convention for designating developed and developing nations even in UN. Yet there is a general convention with respect to democracy, free market, industrialization, human rights etc. But economically strong China is also considered as developing Nation. Just strong human rights, good democracy of India could not put India under the list of developed nations. |
