YES CHENNAI IS DEVELOPING AT A FASTER PHASE,

Some of the major reasons, Lots of Multinationals are interested in Chennai Investments, IT Corridors are increasing day by day, Job market , real estate, Entertainment Industry, Telecoms all are improving with foreign brand cars manufacturing set up's are equally in top range.

Government has invested a lot in the Infrastructure development in spite of slow support from Central Government this again attracts investors. In Chennai the out put of workers are much more compared in other states considering the payments made.*

faster ?? noo reason: may be Chennai is moving at the same pace. All new IT projects and hardware companies are showing more interest in Hyd as it has better infrastructure than Blore and Chennai. We have seen the recent havoc created by rain in Chennai and Bangalore. When so much happens so fast and authorities still sleep, infrastructure comes crumbling down.

Now blore and Chennai in their saturation state, many companies want to invest in 2-tier cities like mysore...

"developing"is a relative term. Chennai is becoming a huge automobile manufcturing base which lead to hundreds of small industies.

Tamil Nadu is NOT Chennai and Hyderabad is not AP. what is the average person in say Madurai or Tiruchanapalli or Salem / Gudur/ Nizamabad in AP is the actual development

These cities do not reflect the actual growth. we should compare ourselves to Shanghai and Beijing and not with ourselves

No, I dont think so. I had been to Chennai about 5-6 years ago, and it was a nightmare living there. Thereafter, all my friends etc say the same.

Thereafter, I never visited Chennai again.
I think people are reluctant to change there.

though a pakka hyderabadi i cant digest the fact but hv to admit that chennai is a developed place n still it is n not bcoz of admin.....but becoz of its wide range of intellectuals......but that dosent mean we didnt.....we had a huge brain drain to US n other parts of the world.

I feel in terms of providing basic amenities to people hyderabad has succededbetter than chennai.we still dont find good drinking water being supplied to house holds in many parts in chennai.and also garbage clearance.I hyd is growing slow but its doing well in all depts.we get good water here.even surroundings very clean &neat.
