Certainly not. Though in between people wanted to switch over to English however now they are also releazing that there is no better language than mother tongue so they are using Hindi again.
It is not ease of use and easy to learn that makes Hindi more acceptable. |

Just because some pople in the metropoliton areas of Inidia try to look so cool speaking english doesnt mean Hindi is dying.Only some.1% of Inidans live in cities and speak English. Most people living in north indian still speak hindi and it's dialects |

Would you like to say English is disappearing from England? |

No not at all.In fact Indians who are always versatile have found new uses for it.
for eg:I work in a Japanese company in India & we speak english usually to both the Indians & Japanese people.
But sometimes during a meeting we need to talk among ourselves i.e if my boss wants to say "how did u forget to do this?",he will do so in Hindi.
So when the Japanese talk among themselves in Japanese language,we also use our very own Hindi language which is known to people from all over India whose mother tongue may be totally different.
In fact for some very odd reason school children prefer to talk in Hindi even when their mediums are different.
Hindi just cannot die.It is the universal Indian language |

Hindi will NEVER be replaced in India for various reasons:
1. All Indians are taught Hindi even though English may be a medium of education.
2. Many Indians in India prefer to speak in Hindi.
3. Bollywood releases more Hindi movies than Hollywood releases English and it requires Indians to know Hindi. And knowing how Indians are mad about movies, they can never forget it.
4. They are alot of illiterate people in India who can speak only Hindi as compared to the people who can speak both Hindi and English.
5. Last but not the least, Hindi is our national language and therefore can not be replaced!!! |

nope thts not possible. its our national language and the educated class may not speak hindi but we can't forget tht india has a huge number of people who don't know english. these are the ppl who either know their vernacular or hindi and most of the times both. and even the educated class has to know hindi to be able to converse with the taxi drivers, fruit and vegetable owners etc etc. so basically hindi is NOT a dying language in india. |

no,it is as lively as it had been the day it was born.Yes, English speaking is now muchmore emphasized upon in indian society but just for a simple reason to be able to communicate with the rest of the world.Hindi is still spoken in every indian house and the 1st language spoken by every newly born indian is his mother tongue-i.e. hindi |

Majority of Indians speak Hindi. Hindi, and its various dialects, is also mothertongue of many people in states like Bihar, Uttar- Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhatisgarh and Jharkhand. Although English is taught in schools and universities, and currently seen as the language of/with future, Hindi will continue to be spoken in rural India, besides being used as mother tongue of millions. |
