Is it advisable to go to ladakh from delhi on a bike alone?
I am 23 year old and plannin to do a bike trip from delhi to ladakh in the last week of june..As i could not find any bike entusiast to accompany me and i dnt wana fly to leh?i know its dangerous so wat kind of problem should i expect to face on this trip.
Never advisable to go alone.
Minimum you should make a team of 4 person with two bikes.
Unforeseen problems -
1. Bike defects or tire puncture at odd places and time.
2. Accidents (touch wood )
3. Terrorist attack
4. Local snatchers
5. Local Dada and gundas
However do not worry. You must go. Make a team and go.
Plan for the unforeseen. Carry enough medicine and first aids. Carry some bike spares and one wheel. It would be good if there are two same bikes in your team.

I almost did it when i was your age but had to turn back half way as my money finished : -)
And that time there was no road, it was only a dirt track.
Dont worry about the stupid things people have written before, there are no local thugs or terrorists on the way. Plan well, take 3 days for the trip from Manali onwards, ensuring you reach your next destination by noon and it should be no problem. Ofcourse, carry adequate spares and a puncture kit. You should know how to repair punctures yourself. Carry lots of fuel in a can.
You will find a number of places to stay and usually villagers on the way are very helpful.
If you have the guts, you can and it is fun. I went on a 350cc Yamaha in 1987!

go ahead with a group of 4to 6 ppl.. not more than tht..
make sure u knw ur bikes well.. dont expect any service center for every small problem for ur bike..
tool kits must be perfect..
road maps .. road plan must be decided before the trip starts..
take appropraite halts.. carry food.. HELMET a must.. biker's gloves.. attach a carrier to ur bike if possible so tht ur back doest bend of the luggage.. !!
