No. This used to be Bombay because its kind of English name so was fit for British,but not the Govt. has changed it to Mumbai, on the name of the famous temple of "Mumba devi"(mumba deity).So its Mumbai now.

The city was earlier called Bombay. The name was changed by an act of the Indian parliament in 1997. The reason for this change was that in two of the local languages, Marathi and Gujarati, the city has long been called Mumbai. It is believed that the name comes from the name of one of the old Koli goddesses, Mumba Devi, a temple to whom now stands in Bhuleshwar.

It was originally called bombai. When the british assumed rule it was changed to mumbai. I believe that people are beginning to call it bombai again since India is no longer under british rule.
