Mid-May would be a good time as far as the weather is concerned, but the snow at "Snow Point" may have already melted by that time. Even so, the weather in Manali would be much better than the heat of Delhi at that time of the year.

My husband and I honeymooned in Manail in mid-April in 2006 and it began raining the day we arrived. We about froze to death!

If you don't like too much cold, take clothing appropriate to layer for cooler weather should you need it. Remember, too, that Indian hotels do not provide heaters for guests in those hotels that aren't in the "5-star" range. Also remember to take comfortable walking shoes for walking up and down the streets of Manali.

If you are taking a tourist bus into Manali from Delhi, it is nearly a 16 hour drive. Take a few nonperishable snack items as the places where the state run tourist buses stop for rest areas aren't of the best quality as far as sanitation for cooking are concerned. Also, if you like toilet paper you might want to take roll with you or pack some personal size facial tissue packs.

May is the right time to visit manali .Weather is pleasent and you will find snow only in Rohtang pass some 50 km from Manali

Well Undoubtedly good time to visit Manali during the stated time. However snow may not be found exactly in Manali as its not really the season for same but definitely you will find at Rohtank Paas ( both on your way and right there as well).

But remember the intensity od snow would surely be less, because as I said its not the season when snow is at peak level. But surely you would find good quantity at Rohtank Paas.

Manali is the best place to be when whole of India is burning with heat. you will have lovely pleasant weather which you will enjoy. Being vacation time there will rush but without crowd there is no fun . lovely time at manali you are having good luck

be sure, you are not interested in snowfall, if that is, then may is good. but 15th feb to 20th march is best.
