There is an old saying "Even the donkey which has gone around Madurai will not leave Madurai". It just means that once you see Madurai, the Athens of the south, then you will not feel like shifting from Madurai. It is such a great place.

It is the next upcoming hub of South India. It is planned to put Madurai in the World Map. so, all sorts of development is going on here. Don't miss the rare chance to LIVE in Madurai.

ya its different, if your r having lots of interest in culture, food, festivals & temples and its related things it will be so great to you, and you can have fun a little bit, with out dust and hot sun the Madurai the Madurai is a great place

Swapan, the Dream
It certainly is a good place, rather very good and comfortable place for living.
However sorry to say that its not the best place.

Yes its not bad and when you get fed up of Madurai you can always escape to the cooler climes of Kodaikanal barely 3hrs away. People in Madurai are very courteous.

Best place - If u like temples, village festivals, traditional food.
courteous people and stress free life

Worst Place - If u do not like hot sun, dust and age old beliefs
