Well I won't say Mumbai is famous for it, I'd like to believe that is a notorious place. If you want to know whether Mumbai has a Red Light Area then the answer is yes.

Ramsay James
It is not 'famous', it is 'notorious.'
Kolkata is even worse.

haribol
not any more as prostitution is rampant everywhere in the city now and is more open and talked about now than ever before

DCP
i think kolkata is the worst one. famous you say? maybe not, but definitely notorious....no thing to try unless you want to take some nice vd's home....

Never, there is a small place where they run some legal prostitution house ( Kamathipura or something).

Dr. DeLight
There are a couple of very large areas in the city... check out Forester Rd. Ask any rickshaw driver. But aids is everywhere there.
