yes - but this survey was based on behavioural standards acceptable in the western world which often don't coincide with our values. In addition, they considered only 5 behavioural traits in urban areas - things like opening a door for someone else and so on.

I am a resident of Mumbai and from what I hear about other places in the world, i feel that people aren't rude at all. However, it depends on the individial. People here are very adaptable and helpful, and most often polite unless they have some personal issues which reflect in their behaviour. ...
They're also very hospitable....

I'd just like to say that this survey means nothing...as it considers a small urban population of limited cities and the viewpoints of the result are based on the coloured opinion of the researchers nd their standards of rudeness. So don't take this at face value. A person is rude only if you find him rude.

ahh you must have never been to miami..people are pretty rude here.

Indian culture differs from Western Culture. It is difficult to define what 'rudeness' really means. I am not from Mumbai, but found it nice and friendly. There are many cities in India which are more rudder than Mumbai.

Kudos to Mumbaikars who recovered so soon after the bomb blast. In spite of provocation, there were no riots. The routine life began right the day after the blast.
